Welcome to Fashion Friday with Nerd Out! Celebrate Women in Comics month at WonderCon with these three outfits

Welcome to our new monthly series: Fashion Friday with Nerd Out! We’ve joined forces with Nerd Out founder Michelle Jensen to bring you a guest post each month focusing on fashion related to geek events. The series will cover a range of topics from ideas for what fashion to wear to an event to what fashion you can find at an event.

For our first installment, Jensen creates three outfits in honor of Women in Comics month featuring fashion you can find at WonderCon!

Convention season is upon us! With WonderCon kicking off today, it’s time to plan out what to see on the show floor. There are a number of fantastic exhibitors to check out along with amazing panels you can attend this year. It's also Women in Comics month so to celebrate I've complied a few #NerdingOut outfits that are con ready featuring some of this year's fashion brands attending WonderCon!

Wonder Woman

When Hero Within originally released their Wonder Woman denim jacket, there was a lot of controversy about it. Suddenly everyone was talking about men wearing fashion inspired by women superheroes, with some against the idea. Now, almost a year later, it's a hit! I love the subtle design of the Wonder Woman logo on the back of the jacket. It's also wonderful to see a unisex jacket. They have male and female models wearing it on their site so make sure to check that out for how it fits. Hero Within will be at booth #2009.

Espionage Cosmetics won't have a booth this year at WonderCon, however they will be at the con for panels and an after the con meetup with Nerd Out! I love their Wonder Woman inspired nail wraps, one of which is shown here. The jewelry is from Stylin Online and compliments the Hero Within jacket nicely. Stylin Online will be at a few booths: #1147, 1149, 1419, 1431, 2001, and 2100.

Harley Quinn

Stylin Online is also the source of the romper which I paired with some pants here. You can wear it as just the romper, but I like the option of the pants with it. Espionage Cosmetics also features in this look with their glittery Harlequin nail wraps. I've been using Espionage Cosmetics nail wraps for years and LOVE them! The hair ties are adorable and match the romper perfectly. They would also be cute just to wear with a ponytail. The Puddin Suicide Squad choker from Hot Topic had to be included.

Spider-Gwen

Gold Bubble Clothing made a charming Spider-Gwen inspired dress. It would be easy to pair with flats, boots, converse, or heels. I think the heels give it an element of elegance. I decided to really focus on the pops of baby blue and magenta for the rest of the outfit. The spider jewelry was a surprise find for me, but it really ups the class on the ensemble. Gold Bubble Clothing will be at booth #1237.
